The Cellular Telephone Industry Association is an international nonprofit membership organization founded in 1984, representing all sectors of wireless communications – cellular, personal communication services and enhanced specialized mobile radio. As an organization, they represent service providers, manufacturers, wireless data and internet companies, as well as other contributors to the wireless universe. CTIA advocates on their behalf before the Executive Branch, the Federal Communications Commission, Congress, and state regulatory and legislative bodies.

The National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA), "the voice of rural telecommunications," is the premiere non-profit association representing more than 580 small and rural telephone cooperatives and commercial companies. NTCA is a full-service association, featuring a highly effective government affairs program; expert legal and industry representation; a broad range of educational services; a comprehensive communications program with visibility in the media; and a well-rounded complement of industry events and an array of employee benefit programs.

The Rural Telecommunications Group (RTG) is a Section 501(c)(6) trade association representing rural wireless carriers who serve less than 100,000 subscribers. RTG’s members have joined together to speed delivery of new, efficient, and innovative telecommunications technologies to the populations of remote and underserved sections of the country.

The Utilities Telecom Council (UTC) is a global trade association dedicated to creating a favorable business, regulatory, and technological environment for companies that own, manage, or provide critical telecommunications systems in support of their core business. Founded in 1948 to advocate for the allocation of additional radio spectrum for power utilities, UTC has evolved into a dynamic organization that represents electric, gas, and water utilities; natural gas pipelines; critical infrastructure companies; and other industry stakeholders.

The Wireless Internet Service Provider Association (WISPA) is the leading trade organization serving the fixed wireless broadband industry. WISPA provides support, forums, education and advocacy for broadband fixed wireless ISPs (WISPs) and the opportunity for companies that provide products and services to the WISP industry to reach and market to WISPs.  WISPA advocates for regulatory and legislative positions that benefit the WISP industry and the public and maintains working relationships with other industry trade groups and with governmental regulators to support projects (such as the UDIA database) that benefit everyone - the public, industry and government.
