In October 2009, SBI partnered with Microsoft, Dell, and TD Foundation to deliver the first database managed TV White Spaces network for distributing broadband connectivity in Claudville, Virginia.
In February 2010, SBI together with TV Band Service, LLC deployed the nation’s first "Smart City" applications supported by TV White Spaces in the City of Wilmington and New Hanover County, North Carolina.
